City of Smiths Station Announces Christmas, New Year’s Closures and Trash Pick-Up Schedules

By Morgan Bryce

City Communications Director

The Smiths Station Government Center, including the satellite offices for the Lee County Probate and Revenue offices, will be closed on December 23 and 26, 2022, in observance of Christmas, and January 2, 2023 for the New Year holiday.

The City will operate with regular business hours from December 27-30, 2022, and return to its normal weekly operating schedule beginning the week of January 9, 2023.

Waste Management will run without delay. The City’s bulk waste collection will be delayed by one day or more during the week after both holidays.

Citizens will be able to recycle Christmas trees at a specially marked drop-off zone from December 27, 2022 to January 6, 2023, that will be located behind the Smiths Station Government Center.

If you have any questions about these schedules, please call 334-297-8771.

Thank you, and we wish all our residents a safe and happy holiday season!
