The final home to be built by the Fuller Center for the March 3rd tornado survivors will begin on October 21st in Smiths Station. The cost of the home build is being sponsored by the Community Foundation of East Alabama and the City of Smiths Station’s disaster relief funds. This will bring the total number of brand-new Fuller Center homes built in Lee County to 18.
The Fuller Center needs non-skilled volunteers to help with the build in Smiths Station from October 22-25. If you would like to help, the build site is located at 365 Lee Road 290. The work day will start at 7:45 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. eastern time and volunteers can register on site. Lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided for all volunteers.
